2009 Red Point Chardonnay
Sourced from a 1,000 foot site that's often submerged in the fog, the 2009 is peachy and lemon-laden, with hints of toasted meringue in the background. On the palate, one finds both richness and citrus, with layers of yellow fig, kumquat and lemon verbena--a study in the tension between high elevation and ample sunlight.
