2011 Aurora Point Sauvignon Blanc

The 2011 Aurora Point is all personality: passion fruit, lemon verbena, basil and elderflower flood the nose with a hint of gunsmoke in the background. The palate opens with a lush entry and cascades through a series of flavors — lemon, guava and quince — all held in check by quinine and a strong gravelly grip. Only our fourth bottling from this 900-foot site, it’s become abundantly clear that the mountain does indeed produce spectacular Sauvignon Blanc.
